Automotive Production Operative

About the role

Our client, a well known reputable interiors manufacturer located at Fradley Park, Lichfield, requires production operatives to join their team, 3 shift rotation to start immediately. No experience needed as full training provided. Duties include working on a production line in a manufacturing plant, trimming excess plastic from plastic injection moulded parts. Assembling units and quality control. Candidates should expect close work with production, engineering and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-process, final or release checks according to the source advert and site procedures
• Record inspection results, deviations and non-conformances accurately
• Use measuring, laboratory or test equipment relevant to the product and industry
• Support root-cause investigations and containment activity when defects are found
• Work with production teams to maintain standards without slowing the line unnecessarily
• Keep quality records audit-ready and escalate out-of-specification results promptly

Requirements

• Quality, inspection, laboratory or technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good written documentation habits and attention to detail
• Able to follow controlled procedures and understand why traceability matters
• Comfortable challenging product quality issues professionally on the shop floor
• Industry-specific standards such as GMP, BRC, ISO 9001, AS9100 or IPC are useful where relevant
