Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 May 2026
The data controller for personal data processed via factoryhire.co.uk is FVK Limited, trading as FactoryHire, a company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 17222723, with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
This page explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.
1. What we collect
- Account data — name, email and (for employers) company name when you sign in via Google, Microsoft or an OAuth provider.
- Job data — content of any job postings you publish, including salary, location and apply method.
- Usage data — pages visited, searches run, and standard server logs (IP, user agent, referrer) for security and debugging.
- Cookies & analytics — strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We also use Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation enabled) and Vercel Analytics for aggregate performance metrics. Analytics cookies are gated behind explicit opt-in via the cookie-consent banner — until you accept, Google Analytics runs in cookie-less ping mode and no analytics cookies are set on your device. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. You can clear or change your consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
2. How we use it
- To run the FactoryHire job board (publishing listings, returning search results, sending account emails).
- To verify employer accounts before they publish, and to detect abuse.
- To process payments via our payment processor (Stripe). We never store full card details.
- To improve the product — anonymised analytics on which pages/searches are popular.
3. Sharing
We share data only with the third-party processors required to run the service: Supabase (database & auth), Vercel (hosting & performance analytics), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics (page-view analytics, with IP anonymisation), and Anthropic (powering the AI Job Search and JD parser — we send your search query or pasted JD text, no other personal data). We do not sell or rent your data.
4. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction or deletion of your data, or withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@factoryhire.co.uk or write to FVK Limited, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We'll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and for 12 months after closure for fraud-prevention and accounting purposes. Anonymised logs are kept for up to 24 months.
6. Changes
We'll publish changes to this policy on this page and date them at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.
