About the role
Great opportunity to work as a Food Production Operative for our client, which processes and packs meat products for distribution to well-known supermarkets. Staffline is recruiting Food Production Operatives in Winsford. The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour. This is a part-time role working rotating shifts and the hours of work are: - 6am to 6pm - 8am to 4pm - 4pm to 00:15am Your Time at Work As a Food Production Operative your duties include: - Shift start-up: Preparing meat products ready for … This is a hands-on production or assembly role where consistency, pace and quality checks are important. The work is likely to involve repeated operations, line standards and clear escalation when product or equipment falls out of specification.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, trim, pack or operate production equipment according to work instructions
- Complete in-process checks for appearance, fit, finish, weight, coding or basic function
- Keep the line supplied with materials and escalate shortages or defects quickly
- Record downtime, rejects or quality issues in the format used on site
- Follow hygiene, safety, manual-handling and housekeeping standards throughout the shift
- Support changeovers, cleaning and handover routines where required
Requirements
- Previous factory, production, assembly or packing experience is useful, though some roles train from scratch
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working to a steady production pace
- Good attention to detail for visual checks and basic paperwork
- Reliable attendance for the stated shift pattern
- Willingness to follow standard work instructions and site safety rules
