About the role
Hours: 40 hours per week | between 06:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday Hourly Rate: £18.50/hour overtime rates Abundant Overtime: Paid at Tx1.5 after 40 hours. Available during the week, Fridays and sometimes Saturdays. Overview: We're looking for a hands-on Production Co-Ordinator to oversee the electrical department at a busy automotive manufacturing company in Worksop. You'll be the go-to person for guidance, problem-solving, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met - managing a tea… This is a quality-focused manufacturing role where documentation, inspection discipline and clear escalation protect the customer and the production process. Candidates should expect close work with production, engineering and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Carry out in-process, final or release checks according to the source advert and site procedures
- Record inspection results, deviations and non-conformances accurately
- Use measuring, laboratory or test equipment relevant to the product and industry
- Support root-cause investigations and containment activity when defects are found
- Work with production teams to maintain standards without slowing the line unnecessarily
- Keep quality records audit-ready and escalate out-of-specification results promptly
Requirements
- Quality, inspection, laboratory or technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good written documentation habits and attention to detail
- Able to follow controlled procedures and understand why traceability matters
- Comfortable challenging product quality issues professionally on the shop floor
- Industry-specific standards such as GMP, BRC, ISO 9001, AS9100 or IPC are useful where relevant
