QA Inspector — Wing Assembly

Airbus Broughton, Wales
£36,000 – £42,000Shift: Continental Posted 3 days ago

About the role

Airbus Broughton is one of the largest wing-manufacturing facilities in the world — wings for the A220, A320 family, A330 and A350 are built or part-built on site. The plant employs thousands of engineers, technicians and operators across a site that has been continuously producing aircraft structures since the 1930s. This QA Inspector role sits on the wing-assembly floor, inspecting wing-box build-up, leading-edge and trailing-edge assemblies as they progress through the production line. You'll work to the AS9100 aerospace quality standard, with build-pack records that are auditable end-to-end and traceable to the individual aircraft serial number leaving the site. The plant runs continental shifts to keep wing-sets flowing to the Airbus final-assembly lines in Toulouse, Hamburg, Mobile and Tianjin. Inspectors work cross-functionally with build engineers, programme managers, methods and stress engineers, and customer representatives — non-conformance findings are escalated through SAP-based concession workflow, and you'll own the disposition for the issues you raise. Standard package includes a strong defined-benefit-style pension scheme, annual profit-share linked to Airbus group performance, life assurance, on-site occupational health, and one of the most extensive engineering CPD frameworks in UK aerospace.
