Storeman / FLT Driver

Spirit AeroSystems Belfast, North West
£13.10/hrShift: Days Posted 1 week ago

About the role

Spirit AeroSystems' Belfast operation has deep aerospace manufacturing heritage and supports wing and aerostructure programmes for major aircraft manufacturers. Stores work here is more controlled than a general warehouse: parts, fasteners, materials and kits must be traceable, damage-free and available exactly when the build line needs them. This Storeman / FLT Driver role supports aerospace production by managing goods-in, put-away, kitting and line-feed activity. You'll use counterbalance FLT equipment alongside scanning and stock-control processes to keep components moving through the stores system without losing traceability. The role suits someone who likes a tidy, controlled warehouse rather than a rough-and-ready yard. Accuracy, part numbers and paperwork matter because a missing or incorrect component can hold up a build station downstream.

Responsibilities

  • Receive goods-in, complete checks and put stock away into controlled aerospace stores locations
  • Operate counterbalance FLT equipment for pallet, stillage and material moves
  • Pick and prepare build-line kits against production schedules and part-number requirements
  • Maintain stock accuracy through scanning, cycle counts and discrepancy reporting
  • Check packaging condition and escalate damaged or suspect parts before issue
  • Support line-feed routines so production areas receive the right kits at the right time

Requirements

  • In-date FLT counterbalance
  • Aerospace stores experience desirable
  • Comfortable working with part numbers, batch traceability and controlled stock locations
  • Experience using handheld scanners or ERP / WMS stock systems
  • Good attention to detail and tidy housekeeping standards
