About the role
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Weaving Supervisor to lead the weaving function within a technical textile manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for maximising production efficiency, ensuring right-first-time quality, and maintaining compliance in the manufacture of high-specification fabrics. Candidates should expect visible shop-floor leadership, KPI ownership and constant prioritisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead production, warehouse or manufacturing teams through daily start-up, shift control and handover
- Own output, labour, quality, waste, downtime or service-level metrics for the area
- Coach operators or team leaders on standards, safety, attendance and performance
- Coordinate with planning, engineering, quality and logistics teams to recover issues quickly
- Use short-interval control, root-cause thinking or continuous improvement tools where appropriate
- Maintain a fair, calm and visible leadership style during busy production periods
Requirements
- Previous team leader, supervisor or production management experience
- Strong communication skills with operators, peers and senior managers
- Confident using KPI data to make practical shift decisions
- Good understanding of safety, quality and people-management basics
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, FMCG or engineering operations preferred
