About the role

Technician - Production Location: Medway Salary: From £35,000 DOE Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shifts: Rotating shifts We are seeking an experienced Production Technician to support efficient, high‑quality manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for running and maintaining injection moulding machines and other machinery, carrying out tool changes, monitoring quality, and supporting smooth production flow across shifts. Candidates should expect close work with production, engineering and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-process, final or release checks according to the source advert and site procedures
• Record inspection results, deviations and non-conformances accurately
• Use measuring, laboratory or test equipment relevant to the product and industry
• Support root-cause investigations and containment activity when defects are found
• Work with production teams to maintain standards without slowing the line unnecessarily
• Keep quality records audit-ready and escalate out-of-specification results promptly

Requirements

• Quality, inspection, laboratory or technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good written documentation habits and attention to detail
• Able to follow controlled procedures and understand why traceability matters
• Comfortable challenging product quality issues professionally on the shop floor
• Industry-specific standards such as GMP, BRC, ISO 9001, AS9100 or IPC are useful where relevant
